If you fail the MVA test, you must schedule another appointment to retake it. If you've paid for an instructor to accompany you in our car and wish to do so again, you'll need to pay again for a new appointment. This can be costly, so it's advisable to be well-prepared before taking the test.

We do not recommend parents ride in the vehicle during their child’s lesson to reduce stress for teens learning to drive. Sam is focused on providing a stress-free and pleasant first lesson.

It is mandatory that all driving school students have their learner's permit with them at all times during the course.

Sam will pick up any student for their driving lesson appointment wherever designated. We can pick you up or drop you off at school, work, or home. Let us know your pickup location when booking your appointment.

We offer front-door service if you reside within our behind-the-wheel training area. This means that the student is picked up and dropped off at their front door for each lesson.

Sam’s Private Driving Lessons guarantee that your child will receive the best behind-the-wheel training available. Practice tests and DMV driving exam discussions are included in the lessons. However, parents play a crucial role in reinforcing the principles of safe driving and practicing the skills learned during the drivers' training sessions.

Yes, our courses include some freeway driving, usually during the student’s third lesson. Freeway driving is at the instructor’s discretion during the third training session, depending on the student’s level of driving ability.

We drive a newly modeled Toyota Prius with dual brake and gas pedals.

All of our driving is one-on-one. A parent, guardian, or interpreter is welcome to ride along as a back-seat observer anytime. The only time there would be an additional student is at the end of their lesson when we might pick up the next student for their lesson. We cannot have others or children (not students) in the car due to insurance purposes.
